Welcome, families, to the start of an exciting new school year! 

I'm Miss Patterson and I'm so  glad to have your child in my class and look forward to a year full of learning, growth, and fun. This year, we’ll be exploring new ideas, building strong classroom relationships, and developing important skills together. Communication and teamwork are key to our success, so please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or thoughts. I can’t wait to see all that we will accomplish as a school community!

Curriculum Highlights - Autumn 1 

English: We are reading War Horse with a focus on setting, character & plot. With links to remembrance and History.

Science: Biology - Human Body. Focusing on cells, organs, muscles and bones and the jobs that each of the parts do.

Maths: In Maths this term, we are working on place value & calculation.

ASDAN: Personal & Social development qualification.

Learning outside the classroom: We do a lot of learning outside of the classroom in base 4 which will get us ready for our next steps going to college, and becoming valuable members of the community. We go swimming each week and go shopping once a week too. We bring in a shopping list from home, walk to the local supermarket and use the self service checkouts paying cash which gets us ready for living independently.
