Meet the Team

Hello everyone, and a very warm welcome to 11A's class page! Our staff team is;

Form Teacher - Mr Roose

Teaching Assistants - Mr Barber & Mrs Fairclough

We have Form every morning until 9:15. During Form we run through what is happening that day and any changes to our usual routine. Students can have a bagel and from 9am onwards we have a 15 minute group reading session. On Mondays, we have “Chit-chat Monday" where we share what we have done during the weekend. We also have two sessions of ‘Personal Development’ each week (Thursday and Friday). In these sessions, we work on a variety of important life skills. Last half-term, we focussed on settling into our new school and making social connections. We are currently working on social interaction and teamwork skills and will soon be working towards our Christmas Show piece! We spend a significant amount of time in Personal Development working with our friends in 11A. Ultimately, Personal Development supports pupils in becoming respectful, confident, and empathetic individuals. It helps them to develop the interpersonal tools they need to navigate a wide range of social settings—at school, at home, and in the wider world. We will be working on applying for colleges and interview preparations for work. Our staff team are very much looking forward to working with families as our pupils work hard to complete their final year here at Crosby High.
