Form time begins at 8.45am and ends at 9.15am. During this time, pupils will settle and focus in preparation for a day of learning and progress.
The following timetable describes the daily activities that take place during form time:
Monday and Thursday are supported reading days, when pupils will read independently to members of staff to boost literacy skills.
Tuesday alternates between school assembly and numeracy challenge activities.
Wednesday and Friday are spelling practice days, when pupils get the opportunity to improve their spelling and vocabulary skills.
Tailored intervention sessions will also occur during form time. These sessions are designed to meet pupils' specific needs and boost progress.
We have two Personal Development sessions each week, giving pupils valuable opportunities to develop a range of important life skills. Through a range of activities and shared experiences, pupils are encouraged to build confidence, strengthen their relationships and develop an understanding of how their actions can affect others.
Personal Development helps pupils to become respectful, confident and empathetic young people. It provides them with the social and interpersonal skills they need to build positive relationships and navigate social situations successfully. Most importantly, it gives pupils the opportunity to develop these skills in a supportive environment, while having fun and enjoying time with their friends.
