Meet the Team

Hello everyone, and welcome to 10JA’s class page! Our staff team is;

Form Teacher - Miss Allan & Mr Bellis (Thursday)

Teaching Assistants - Mrs Rudd, Mr Marsh, Mr McDonagh & Mr Pollock

We have Form time every morning until 9:15. This time is used to explain to the students key events or changes that are coming up that day.  This time is also used for reading, with lots of 1:1 interventions for those that need it.

We have two lessons of Personal Development every week.  One is on a Thursday and one is on a Friday. The emphasis is on being in KS4 and working towards independent skills.  We will also be trying to exercise as much as we can and to plan some charity events.  which the pupils thoroughly enjoy and look forward to each week. The sessions allow us the opportunity to develop our independent  and social skills. It also enables us to take advantage of all our local area has to offer and spend time in nature working as a team to complete a range of tasks.

Ultimately, Personal Development supports pupils in becoming respectful, confident, and empathetic individuals. It helps them to develop the interpersonal tools they need to navigate a wide range of social settings—at school, at home, and in the wider world.
