Welcome to 9JM

Hello everyone, and a very warm welcome to 9A's class page! 

Our staff team is;

Mrs Metcalf - class teacher

Mrs Al-Hadithi  - class teaching assistant

Mrs Bamber  - teaching assistant

We have form time every morning until 9:15. During form time we run through what is happening that day and any changes to our usual routine. Students can have toast and a piece of fruit.  From 9am onwards we have a 15 minute group reading session. 

We also have two sessions of ‘Personal Development’ each week (Tue and Fri). In these sessions, we work on  a variety of important life skills. Ultimately, Personal Development supports pupils in becoming respectful, confident, and empathetic individuals. It helps them to develop the interpersonal tools they need to navigate a wide range of social settings—at school, at home, and in the wider world. 

This term we are focusing on keeping our school grounds clean and tidy. We are using the time to tidy the garden area outside Thrive. This will help to develop skills for when pupils have their own garden.

Our staff team are very much looking forward to working with families as our pupils work hard throughout the  year here at Crosby High.
